An EYFS or KS1 resource linked to numbers from one to twelve. Page 1 shows colour number shapes with words and numerals for children to cut and match. Page 2 is the same as page 1 but in black and white. Children can colour these in. Pages 3,4,5 and 6 each have three number shapes showing words and numerals in black and white. Pages 7,8.9 and 10 are the sames as 3,4 , 5,6 but in colour. Finally page 11 is a shape template in black and white showing 6 shapes. Children can add their own number words, numerals and colours. Can be used as visual aids, added to displays or activities for sorting, matching and ordering.

A counting and ordering activity for children learning their numbers up to 15. Sheet 1 shows the colour shirts to 15. Children can trace the numbers, cut and order the shirts. Sheet 2 is the same as sheet 1 but in black and white. Sheet 3 is a template of shirts that children can use to write their own numbers and /or design their own shirts. Sheet 4 shows 2 large shirt templates.

A fun game for young children that can be differentiated from counting and adding small numbers together to adding up to 36. There are different ways of using the resources. Activity 1 Share page 1 and work through together with the children so they understand the process. Then children can complete page 2 on their own, or in pairs. Here they say how many ducks they see on the ponds and add up the numbers using the colour duck key. Page 3 is a template so that the children can add their own colours to the duck key. Add their own ducks to the pond and then work out the answers to the questions. Activity 2 Page 4 is a set of colour duck cards. Duplicate these and cut them out to play matching games, snap, pairs and colour sorting. Page 5 is a pond for children to colour in and add ducks of their own. Page 6 are outline black and white ducks for the children to colour in how they want. They could cut these out and add them to the pond. Dinosaur lovers will enjoy colouring in the 15 picture cards of Dinosaurs, cutting and matching them to the colour versions. The second activity is a set of 8 black and white dinosaurs for children to colour in match to the colour version.

A set of colour flashcards showing number characters and corresponding amounts of animals for each number. The numbers and animals are on a blackboard background. There are 3 sets of cards, small, medium and large. Laminate and use for number work, wall displays or your maths corner. Sheet 1 can be used as an activity where children cut out the cards and order them from 0 to 9 or backwards.

A counting game where children count the numbers on each tile and add them together. This works well as a mental maths starter encouraging ‘maths talk’. Children could work against the clock for added interest and motivation. Another activity idea is for children to find matching tiles of ‘real’ dominoes and place them onto the sheets. Children can learn how to play dominoes or / and cut out and match the tiles. There are 19 pages with 2 dominoes on each. There is a template included at the end for you to make more of your own.

A fun festive treat for young children to get them in the mood for Christmas. The activity requires careful observation skills. There are 18 pictures of animals all wearing a different Christmas hat. There are also 18 hat pictures for children to match up to the animals. You could use the activity like a lotto game where 3 children each have a board showing 6 animals in their hats. They would then try to match up the correct hats with the correct animal. Alternatively, duplicate the animal pictures, laminate and cut out for matching games. The final sheet of the resource shows all 18 animals - this can be used for matching the animal pictures, for inspiration for making posters or Christmas cards or for speaking and listening activities.
